Laser Teeth Whitening with Dentist Harun Yildirim
Long-lasting, impressive whitening results in Kyrenia, Cyprus
When there are numerous teeth whitening products you can obtain over the counter, why pay a dentist to do it? Understandably we get this question a lot…
The simple answer is that professional teeth whitening is significantly safer and visibly more effective.
Traditional Teeth Whitening
The teeth whitening procedure in general is a bleaching procedure. Teeth whitening products at chemists or supermarkets contain hydrogen peroxide, a highly corrosive acid that acts as a bleaching agent to strip staining off teeth. It can damage your enamel and gums if used in high concentrations.
Weak concentrations of hydrogen peroxide won’t damage your gums but won’t necessarily remove the yellowing of teeth much neither.
Dentists are allowed to use higher concentrations of bleaching agents to make teeth appear a lot whiter and use special guards to protect your gums during the procedure.
Modern Laser Whitening with Dentist Harun Yildirim
At Harun Yildirim Dental Surgery & Clinic, our approach to dentistry and dental cosmetics is simple – use the latest and most advanced procedures that dentistry has to offer, for the safest and most effective results.
We don’t use liquid bleaching agents at all. Instead at HY we use the laser whitening process with the most reputable brand in the market.
This process involves using a laser to lift stains from the teeth after using a whitening agent. A less invasive procedure, the results are truly impressive.
And what’s more, you can have your teeth whitened with only a single visit to the dentist.
Global Leaders in professional Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening can change your overall mindset.
At Harun Yildirim Dental Surgery & Clinic we only use Opalescence teeth whitening products, a global leader in professional teeth whitening, offering outstanding and long-lasting results.
What to expect at the Laser Whitening appointment?
If your teeth are not clean, the dentist will recommend an oral treatment before moving onto the laser whitening for more visibly effective results.
The laser session itself will last for one hour – sit back, relax and enjoy a short documentary or perhaps watch music videos on one of our 4K UHD screens whilst your teeth are getting sparkled.
At the end of the laser treatment, Dentist Yildirim will provide patients with an Opalescence Teeth Whitening kit to take home alongside a custom moulded dental shield for both the Upper & Lower Jaws, which you can use for up to 6 months.
How much does Teeth Whitening Cost in Cyprus?
Teeth whitening over other dental treatments such as dental veneers, is the most economical and quickest procedure to correct teeth that have come yellow or stained over time.
What’s more, patients from countries where dental care is truly expensive, like in Germany, UK, or the US, travel to countries like Cyprus where dental costs are far less but services are not compromised.
The unique benefit of dentistry in North Cyprus is that whilst quality is indeed above international standards, clinical costs are on the lower end.
Therefore the option of dental care in North Cyprus and professional teeth whitening is affordable.
Traveling can be flexible as the procedure itself can be performed in a day and does not require a follow-up visit.
The total cost of the Laser Whitening Package treatment at Harun Yildirim Dental Surgery & Clinic is only €345, with no other fees or hidden costs.
After the tooth whitening procedure, you should refrain from smoking and drinking consumables such as coffee, coloured juice, wine or any other similar products for at least two weeks to prevent staining or colouring of the whitened teeth.
This answer relies on the patient’s own oral and dental hygiene. All teeth whitening treatments will be affected by the consumption of food and cigarettes over a certain period of time. However, tooth whitening lasts, on average, for between 6 months and 2 years. This time frame can be extended if the treatment is later supported by a further visit to the dentist.
There will be no harm done to the teeth if applied by a dental specialist following the correct procedures.
In-office bleaching provides the quickest way to whiten teeth. With in-office bleaching, the whitening product is applied directly to the teeth. These products can be used in combination with heat, a special light, or a laser. Results are seen in only one, 30- to 60-minute treatment.
Regular ingestion of berries, coffee, red wine, and cola can all cause teeth staining. Sometimes, even prescription medications and fluoride can cause staining. Even if you brush your teeth daily, your teeth will likely stain over time if you regularly consume dark-colored substances.
The teeth whitening gel will not damage your tooth enamel as it is a hard tissue. The American Dental Association says that teeth whitening is safe. Maintain your results by avoiding foods and beverages that are known to stain the teeth.
So how often should you whiten your teeth? Generally speaking, it's a good practice to return to your dentist for teeth whitening services roughly once per quarter, or once every three months. This is even if you haven't noticed a dramatic dulling of your smile yet.
